The Kenya Judges and Magistrates Vetting Board visited Ireland on 13th to 19th April 2015. The trip was a bench marking visit to Judicial Institutions in Ireland.
The team of thirteen (13) was headed by its Chairman Mr. Sharad Rao. They were received in Dublin by H. E Ambassador Richard A. Opembe who also hosted them at the Embassy.
The Judges and Magistrates Vetting Board is a statutory body with the mandate of vetting the Judges and Magistrates to determine their suitability to continue serving in the Judiciary.
The process is part of a transitional process provided in the Kenyan Constitution.
