On Friday, 22nd September, 2017 an exhibition to celebrate “100 years of the Irish in Kenya” was launched in Tralee, County Kerry at the Meadosland Hotel. The event was graced by the Mayor of Tralee Norma Foley, and organiser and sponsor through GoKerry, Grace O’Donnell. The event was also attended by missionaries and NGO representatives working in Kenya supported by the Chairman of the Kenya Irish Society, Mr. Jack O’Regan.
The Exhibition which is travelling around Ireland had earlier on taken place on Sunday, 10th September, 2017 in county Cork and on Saturday, 19th August, 2017 in County Mayo at the Áras Inis Gluaire/ Erris Arts Centre, Belmullet.
The launch of the Exhibition was also graced by H. E. Ambassador Richard A. Opembe.
