A celebration of “100 Years of the Irish in Kenya” took place on Saturday, 19th August, 2017. The celebration took place in the form of an Exhibition and was held at the Áras Inis Gluaire/ Erris Arts Centre, Belmullet, County Mayo.
Mrs. Bróna Ni Mhuiri, the wife of the Irish Ambassador to Kenya was the curator of the Exhibition while local man Fr. Tony Barret who lived Kenya for a long time played a key role towards the Exhibition.
The launch of the Exhibition was graced by H. E. Ambassador Richard A. Opembe.
