The Africa Day, Dublin 2018 flagship event took place on Sunday, 27th May, 2018 at the Farmleigh Estate in the Phoenix Park, Dublin.
The free family-focused event featured the sights and sounds of Africa, through performances by well-known African and Irish musicians; children’s entertainment; traditional African drumming and dance workshops; amongst other activities. Also featuring was African arts and crafts and stalls comprising of African community groups, NGOs and corporate concessions.
The Kenya Embassy was amongst the eight African Embassies resident in Ireland participating in the celebrations. The event was opened by Minister of State for Diaspora and International Development at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Ciarán Cannon T.D.
