Brighter communities worldwide is an Irish NGO working with communities in rural Kenya, enabling individuals and communities to be authors of their own development, building brighter communities for all. The model creates partnership based approach to deliver relevant programs to meet the needs of communities and individuals.
On the 14th October, 2017 at the Maryborough Hotel in Cork, the NGO organised a fundraising event –The Kenya Ball- to raise money to support their programmes in Kenya and to celebrate 15 years of partnership with communities and individuals in Kenya.
H.E Ambassador Richard A. Opembe attended the event which was also graced by the Deputy Lord Mayor of Cork, Councillor Fergus Dennehy, and the NGO’s partners; Friends of Kipkelion, Kava Communications, Aspira and Moneenatieve Windfarm Limited.
