Kenya diaspora, Diplomatic community representatives from The United States of America, United Kingdom, Russia, The People’s Republic of China, The Kingdom of Morocco, Canada, South Africa, Poland, United Arabs Emirates, Norway, Peru, Israel, Cuba, Croatia, the Kingdom of Lesotho, the Republic of Korea, India, Brazil, Nigeria, the Republic of the Sudan, the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Cyprus, Japan, Greece, The Republic of Estonia, Latvia, Portugal, Islamic Republic of Pakistan and Papal Nuncio representative and the Business community led by Kenya Ambassador to Ireland H.E Richard A. Opembe and Mrs. Suzanne Opembe on the 3rd December, 2018 marked Jamhuri Day Celebrations at the Intercontinental Hotel Dublin.
The celebration was marked by a speech by H.E Ambassador Opembe outlining the history of Kenya from the colonial era to when she gained her independence. The Ambassador reiterated the Presidents 4 Pillars (Expansion of Manufacturing Sector, Affordable Housing, Affordable HealthCare and Food Security).
The Ambassador called on Kenya diaspora in Ireland to invest on the future of Kenya to propel the country forward, and for this to happen, the country will need the skills and expertise of diaspora to ensure Kenya can compete in the international stage.
