On 10th to 12th February, 2016 the Embassy received three (3) officers from the Diaspora & Consular Affairs Directorate of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade who had come to Ireland for a scoping visit as a way of learning the Irish experience in Diaspora engagement.
On the sidelines of the scoping visit, the delegation led by Mr. Washington Oloo held a meeting with representatives of the Kenyan Diaspora in Ireland where several issues including the following were discussed:
a) Deliberation of the welfare of the Kenyan Diaspora in Ireland;
b) Presentation of the newly launched Diaspora Communication Strategy; and
c) Discussion of the concept note of the National Diaspora Council of Kenya (NADICOK)
