The Ambassador of UAE H.E Sultan Mohammed Majid Al Ali paid a courtesy visit to the Kenyan Ambassador H.E Richard A. Opembe to discuss areas of mutual benefit to the two countries. Kenya and the UAE enjoy warm and cordial relations and with Kenya increasingly becoming an important trading partner and the United Arab Emirates emerging as a favoured shopping destinations for Kenyans, the Ambassadors discussed areas that the two missions can work together cooperatively to enhance trade engagements.
Promotion of tourism, trade and investment are the major concerns for the Kenya Embassy Dublin. There are major investment opportunities in Kenya which business community from Ireland and the UAE can take advantage of. H.E Ambassador Richard Opembe encourages Irish and UAE businesses to carry out trade visits to Kenya to invest, establish or have joint ventures with Kenyans.
The East African Community (EAC) with a common market of over 80 million people and one of the highest economic growth rate in Africa provides an attractive potential for commerce and industry for UAE and Ireland.
